Two amazing creatures, both destined to do the impossible, to do what nobody ever thought possible. It was believed that they died inside of the middle of the earth. An eternal sacrifice. But this was not to be the end of our heros......

Spyro had always had a heart of pure gold. It showed to everyone he met, both friend OR foe. He never hated with malice. He cared about his friends. He was no ordinary dragon, however. He was very special. A purple-scaled dragon. Immensly unbelievable powers. Fame beyond what could be imagined. Despite all of this, he did not become engorged in it. He had other worries......

Cynder, a beautiful dragoness with a terrible secret. A troubled past that she couldn't seem to escape. Cynder, the monstrous servant of a terrible lord. All had seemed lost, until a time. Spyro awoke to the horrid state of affairs, and fought back the evil, eventually rescuing the tortured dragoness from her evil form.

Alas, true happiness is not so easily found. Lured away by her fear....fear of revenge, fear of dislike, fear of.....the word itself, she disappeared. Despite many hardships and trials, our young, brave, purple-scaled hero tracked her down, and attempted to rescue the confused dragoness from the Dark Master's evil clutches. But this time, fate was not so lenient.......

Placed inside a crystal, our star-struck heroes were imprisoned for 3 years. The Dark Master was released from his prison, and overran us with his minions. He was the very first purple dragon. But he betayed us all, and sided with evil. He became too powerful, and was imprisoned. Until this fateful day.......

To our good fortune, however, our best and last hopes were awakened from the crystal, and rose up. This was perfect news for me. As for me, I was in no way unimportant to the turn of events. After all, I myself had assured that when the attack came on The Year of the Dragon, that Spyro's egg survived.

I risked my very life to help them, and allow them to deal with Malefor, the Dark Master. As I sit here in this quiet place, I wonder what might have gone wrong, if there really was another way. It means nothing, now. Eventually, they did stop Malefor, by my understanding. But what happened to them? That's the true question, isn't it?

Again, my first worry was that they sacrificed themselves on the earth's core to defeat Malefor, and keep the world in one piece. Somehow, I doubt so. There is no trace of them in the Book of Death. Also, I have known Spyro and Cynder. They do not simply pass away from this world in such a simplistic manner, like I did. They wouldn't have allowed it.

I know one thing for sure: They both deserve the one thing they have never enjoyed: A life. A life free from worry, or pain, or suffering from the darkness. This may be easy for Spyro. Until he met me, he WAS living such a life. Along with his dragonfly friend, oh....what was his name? Sparx, wasn't it?

Cynder.....this will be a true challenge for her. She was bred to serve Malefor. Although she willfully rebelled, assisted Spyro in defeating the dark, and stayed with him, she knows not what a real life is. She has always lived under fear of something. Whether it be Malefor's punishment, or simply fear of her past coming back to haunt her. It may possibly drive her over the edge. That would be a disaster! To go this far, only to lose her way in the peaceful times.

She will certainly need someone to comfort her. Someone to scare away her fears. I rightfully believe that Spyro is the one. He certainly also suffers. I sense he grieves over me leaving him. I suppose I wrought that on him. Never knowing his TRUE father, he looked up to me and saw such one in me. I suppose it is my fault. Nonetheless, I believe that if either of them are to be truly happy, they will NEED each other.

I am not currently sure what the future will hold. Maybe they will find what they missed.
Family.....
Friends.....
Peace.....
Love......
Who knows what the future holds? I do see one unfortunate picture in the books. A familiar, evil face. I pray that Spyro and his friends will survive their encounter with this familiar evil.....If not, we are doomed.

In summation, I believe that I made many a mistake, but they CAN be rectified. I simply hope that Spyro will forgive me for the heartbroken state I left him in. I hope for the day when we can finally meet again, face to face.......

                                                                                                               -The Chronicler

[Two households, both alike in dignity / In fair Verona, where we lay our scene / From ancient grudge break to new mutiny / Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes / A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life / Whose misadventured piteous overthrows / Do with their death bury their parents' strife. ]

The Series Begins! The terror seems to be over. But can Spyro and Cynder ever truly be happy? Or will the familiar shadows of the past continue to haunt them?

(I'm deciding to work on this now, because my lack of an Alpha-Smart for 3 days seriously delays Part 10. So I'm going to put this up there to keep you fans happy and entertained!)

You should read this first, before going on with the series.

Yeah, this thing started out as an anonymous letter as an intro, and I tried to keep it that way, but I had to eventually identify the writer. Besides, the Chronicler is cool! Ah, well. I think it's a good intro. I probably should have done this first, shouldn't I? Oh well.

This is on my own, but if you want to listen to some mood music whilst reading the letter: [link]

Also, I don't know why I thought of the opening scene from Romeo and Juliet when I made this, but....ah well. I think it's good. Enjoy.
